Well everyone... I"M HOME! And actually I have been for quite some time now!
Enjoying every second of it for sure. Feeling pretty lucky to have the chance to sleep in...mmm how i've missed sleep. However the mornings are awfully quiet, seeing as the family is all away at school teaching, principaling, and being a student...so thats new, but good as well. I have to be honest, i kind of miss the chaos of life at school, makes every moment full of life for sure. But really people, i love being home, i do.
-This summer's outlook so far, looks pretty good, interesting for sure.
1. Working at a local Snow Cone Stand: Kokomo Joes. Yup that'd be my hardworking job....it's great really!
2. Recently just found out I will be getting to join Miss Audrey Hale and the High schoolers from her Church in Rockwall, to their Camp in Orange Beach Alabama! Whoot!
3. One of the bigggggest moments, PERU! I have been waiting for this trip, since Bobby (the youth minister for FBC, home church) asked me if i wanted to go! God is good, I said any chance I had i would go back in a heart beat; and he presented me with this opportunity to go and did i mention the WHOLE family is getting to go! Cannot wait! July 1-11! So heads up, please be praying for those going, that we would be able to humble ourselves to put those we come into contact with first, and be the guiding light to the gospel. Also pray for open hearts and open minds, as we share the love of Christ with them. Oh one more prayer request, the man who leads it all up, up there in Cajamarca Peru, his wife is very sick, and she is the absolute love of his life, but so is his call to missions, pray for healing, but more than anything for peace and discernment in his life. He's a great man, and you'll get to hear more about him, and the trip when i return!
4. It already happened May 7th, but Sarah's Wedding! One of the highlights of my oh' eleven summer, and a great way to kick it all off. Jw Alexander and Sarah Alexander are two of the most amazing people you'll ever meet. They love each other totally and completely with a love that comes from being so very sound in Christ. If you are looking for a happy couple, then here they are! I love you both o-so very much, and I want to thank you for the advice and encouragement you so openly share with me! (Also the bridal party, Kelly, Katherine, Gunnar, and Ryan, were pretty wonderful as well i must say! We always have a good time together, which made the wedding that much more fun!)
5. Mmm selfishly, my birthday?! June 16th! Its always fun to have a summer birthday, and I'm gonna be twenty...wow. I can hardly believe it!
6. My sweet sweet friend from UMHB, Miss Lindsay Adam, GOT ENGAGED! Yes, Linds and Ricardo are getting married, well not right away but still, they're engaged! Could not be happier for them! I know they're wedding will be wonderful, and so much fun as well! Congratulations guys!
7. I've been reading again, yes another book for another summer. Last year it was "A Love Worth Giving" by Max Lucado, and this summer's so far has been "When God Writes Your Love Story" by Eric and Leslie Ludy. This book so far has been exactly what i've needed to hear. I'm learning to live out the "sweeter song" as they say, and allow God the pen for my love life here, and my love life with him as well. Its a very wonderful book, and I'm almost already done with it! i'm beginning to really like reading here, this is a big deal! Its just ever so relaxing, and I'm hoping to continue once I've finished this book; well i assume I am, because i already have another one picked out!
Alright so there ya go. Home is sweet!
-I'm missing my family from school...ALOT! but, however, I am comforted in knowing that our return will be ever so sweet, and in due time!
joyful

"time really does fly"
It is 10:45, and my last night at UMHB.......well for sophomore year anyways. I really truly cannot believe how fast this year went. You know as a senior in high school, and or a freshman in college, everyone you come into contact with thats older, tells you its going to go fast; but you never believe it. Now I officially can say that one of those people is me, because quite frankly it goes by faster than you can imagine. I mean really, I will be a junior in the fall of oh' 11 people! I must say its a bittersweet thing, but I really have no regrets whatsoever. I have been living the dream life. I go to a school I love, I have the best friends/family here I could ask for, and some of the most memorable moments of my entire life...thus far.
Go ahead, take a look:
FYC Leaders 2010-2011!!! Before Freshman Initiation
It may not show here, but yes they got a BIG SURPRISE!!!
Look out World! TRYON 8203!!!
This explains the fact that we had 3 Roomie Birthdays this year!
and yes the 3 did not include me (43 days)
This is Esther, one of my favorite freshman &
spotlighting partner for CruKnights 2011!
(By the way, I'll be one of the 3 Asst. Directors for CKs 2012!)
Just a few other moments in our lives, my roomie and her darling boo jake! I have about 30 different pictures of them all throughout the camera; Ash and I in our sorority squat, kind of a not so secret obsession of ours; that cute black puppy is Ellie girl- nicole's newest addition, and this last photo is Milkshake Monday- a tradition started last year during the winter? But nonetheless Spencer's Mom flys in from Washington & makes milkshakes for the crew!

So you don't get overloaded on the photo's I'll leave you with a few last photos! It is one of the highlights and traditions at UMHB, no not homecoming, not formal, not intrameurals, but the raddest dance party of the year...INFORMAL OH'11!
I must say that there are just way to many moments to publish to the world, i'd have to make a brand new blog, and then it wouldn't be as good, wayyyyy to repetitive. So i figure a few updates everyone and then will keep you coming back, or interested just enough.
By the way, the only thing that will top off my year as it comes to a close, is the opening of summer! My weekend will start summer off on the right foot, My best friend from home, Sarah Griffin, will become Mrs. Sarah Alexander this weekend! Yup wedding season is going to start off the right way! Looking forward to seeing all the festivities go down and what not!
Also, one more thing...I gots a job for summer! I'll be slaving day and night at KOKOMO Jo's Snowcones! I know, riveting huh? Definitely going to be a good summer! Then bring on the good times back in the fall, starting JUNIOR year.
joy joy joy,

life is sweet
Well like almost every post i have, this one will be the same in bringing you the updates on life lately; seeing as how i'm extremely inconsistent with keeping a blog. I'm not good at making promises to keep up with it really, either. However, that is completely besides the point.
Life is good today in the world of Mary Baucom. I came home this weekend for Sarah! This weekend was all about her, and the bridal showers, as well as JW and the rest of the crew, Kelly, Gunnar, and Ryan (Jake couldn't make it); oh and never forgetting to mention the wonderful family as well :). Came into town friday, went straight to decorating the church, and then Logan's Roadhouse with the family after, for dinner. At dinner i was able to see the love of Christ through a simple "Thank You" from my Dad to the group of Firefighters, a table away. The Manager came by and assured us that they had already paid for their food! For those of you who aren't up to date, or just need a reminder, Texas is just being beaten down with Wild fires, San Angelo is being effected, and all the surrounding towns and ranches are just devastated with the destruction. San Angelo doesn't reep much of the burn, in a sense because we aren't just open land in the direct path of the fire. However anyone and everyone is pitching in to do their share. God is good, and he obviously has this under control in a way that will strengthen the community and bring him Glory. However continuous prayer is always encouraged. After playing catch up with the family, came back decorated strawberries for the shower, and was later picked up by the boys to head to the Skating Rink; we surprised JDub with Gunnar, and had a great time skating, and falling and laughing. Afterwards we weren't tired so took on bowling until it closed and ended the night at WhataBurger; once again laughing the whole time. Sarah finally got to be a really college kid and stayed out late with us the whole time!
The next day, this morning was the church shower for Sarah, the girlier one, where no boys are really technically allowed; except to show up at the end and help pack all of the new goodies away. It was a pretty good turn out i'd say, and Sarah enjoyed it for sure. We hung out this afternoon, rocking the socks off the Madagascar Carts, and Kinetic sports video games. Tonight after our hangout, we had the couples fiesta shower, put on by a teacher of Sarah's from school and church/school family friends. This was a little different shower wise, not your usual setting, but more of a good dinner time and great conversation. Ended the night out at the lake dancing to country music; doesn't get any better...except for some of us, the genre could have been a little different, but nonetheless it was a good ending to a great weekend.
Sad to go back, but also know that going back is always a positive! Life at UMHB is just as wonderful as always, except when i'm fighting with stats for my grade, but no worries it will eventually be over. Finals is oh i think 2 weeks away ish now? Gosh i dont know where my sophomore year went?! I'm about to be a junior in the fall!! This is nuts, but exciting as well. I am blessed, there is no other way around it, wonderful friends, wonderful family, and a God who never stops loving me, and reminding me daily of it!
Looking forward to San Antonio with the girls this next weekend!!! Bachelorette Weekend!

overdo update...i suppose
Well friends it's a monday. Not necessarily a bad one, but a monday never-the-less; lacking in any motivation whatsoever. I know i should be studying but i figured i'd blog instead, i mean after all the three test i have this week aren't until wednesday and thursday (if i twittered...#proprocrastinator). And what else to do when you're at work and have nothing going on, than to blog and update the world on what's going on in well my world.
For starters, life is great! UMHB is home and is absolutely wonderful. I know many would agree. I am super overly involved once again this semester, filling my time with FYC, Student Foundations, WW Steering Committee, Co-Directing Sophomore Stunt Night, and helping a little with cru knights. Someday i will learn the meaning of NO, however that is not today. I honestly love the chaos that comes from being busy, probably because of the wonderful people who are involved with me as well. I can't brag enough, i have theee best roommates/roomz/roomskillets whatever we go by, and the best friends anyone could ask for. Yeah i know, mushy gushy, but whatever.
Classes so far aren't too terrible. I am reminded every tuesday thursday though, that i should get my act together with Stats...gross. However its not that bad, because the professor is precious and makes simple but funny jokes. Other classes are cake, especially ceramics, where i can let my inner artist go...or lack there of go. Looking at my social work major, i' m realizing slowly what i'm getting myself into, but i know its where i'm meant to be, even if its just for a moment. God has plans, i'm just following the clues he leaves for me.
A highlight for me was this weekend...the sister came to visit! Yep squirt! Met the parents and her halfway and brought her back, hung out, watched despicable me (favorite), had some froyo, and some good conversation. I'm so blessed. She's so ready for college, and only a junior in highschool, but thats just her. Probably going to be attending here, if not i'll disown her if she chooses ETBU...seriously. Anyhoo, took her back halfway again, and met Dad at the DQ, had a blizzard of course and went our seperate ways.
So nothing major happening ...still busy, still happy, still loving life.
